FIVE on Friday

Oh Friday, you ARE my favorite.  
And in honor of this favorite day, I’m linking up with Darci, April, Christina & Natasha for another Five on Friday!  The thing I love most about this link-up is reading through everyone else’s “five things” throughout the weekend. So much fun!
ONE.
I know I’m not the only one that’s obsessed with mini Fourth of July outfits right now!  We’re heading up to my mom’s hometown in Iowa for the 4th and I can’t wait to deck Arden out in red, white & blue…every. single. day. And this sweet headband from Sherbert Lane has me swooning! Not to mention it’s 25% of until Sunday!
TWO.
My baby is mobile with a capital M this week.  At the pool she’s stealing people’s flip flops and at home she’s snatching Hazel’s toys!  It’s a whole new world and she’s having a ball exploring it…
THREE.
It’s been the week of girls nights.  Can’t beat that, huh?? A Bachelorette watch party (we should probably call it a “talk party” instead, ha!), a women’s bible study, and then a fun dinner out with these lovely gals.  I met Emily and Darci through the blog world and I feel SO lucky to have gotten to know them over the past few months. Seriously, these are two of the nicest gals you will ever meet…and have you seen their little boys?! Absolute CUTENESS.  
Dinner was full of stories, laughs and wine…good for the soul, I tell you 🙂

FOUR.
We’ve tried a couple of different baby rafts this summer, and this one from Swimways takes the cake. I like how Arden sits way down into it and she’s not wobbling around above the water.  Plus the canopy is nice for my pale little angel baby 🙂
The Bud Light adds a nice touch, right?
FIVE.
This year I WILL learn to embroider.  I’ve heard it’s not difficult, it’s just a matter of dedicating the time. But once I learn I’m going to buy this pattern from nanacompany.  Is it not beautiful?

    Just got the cutest romper for the fourth, might be needing a cute matching headband like that one! totally off topic, but I absolutely love your hair, I have had bobs before and I always like them for a couple weeks and then regret it, but seeing yours totally makes me want to do it again 🙂

      Aw thanks, Ashleigh! I'm almost ashamed to admit that I've had pretty much the same haircut since junior high…eek 😉 Regardless–I say go for it!!

    Okay, if we do in fact have a little 4th of July play date, I have to see Arden in that precious headband!!!!!! SO STINKING CUTE. And after seeing these swim pics, I'm pretty sure I need to see her cute little self in person in her swimmy!! Nothing better than chunky baby thighs in a swimsuit!

    And dinner and drinks was so much fun — you girls have been more of a blessing to me than you know! I so look forward to our get togethers! And how awesome that y'all had a Bachelorette watch party?! I still need to watch this week's episode!

    That embroidered pattern is maybe one of the sweetest things I've ever seen! Can't wait to see what yours looks like when your all done! And why don't they make matching 4th of July headbands for us Mamas? It's super festive 🙂

    LOVE the headband, Arden has the best accessories! Mobile baby..aaaah!!! So much fun, but friend your life has changed. I am sure you are realizing this quickly!
