I mentioned before that Hazel is the best toy we own. The second best toy? A water bottle full of junk.
My sister got this idea through Parents as Teachers (a service I wish we had in Houston!) and it was always a huge hit with her kids. Arden has since joined the fan club–she might even be the president. I’m telling you, she LOVES this thing! And when I take it to playgroups it is always the toy the babies go for first. I even made one as part of a birthday present for Arden’s friend Avery. Yes, we give junk for birthday presents 🙂
So, you might want to take notes…this is a pretty complicated tutorial.
What you’ll need:
1 empty water bottle (label removed)
Buttons or coins
Ribbon (I chose K-State…starting the brainwashing early)
Straws
Pipe cleaners
Anything else your heart desires
Directions:
1. Throw it all in the bottle.
2. Screw on the lid.
3. Shake, shake, shake 🙂
(FYI – most of your pictures will look like this)
Pretty tough, right?
Now go raid your craft boxes. You won’t regret it!

Love this…glad to know my daughters not the only one that loves a water bottle over any of her toys! I will have to add some junk she'll go crazy over it:)

Haha! We have a bottle of junk too and O loves it! He pretty much always prefers random stuff over toys, crazy kid!

Too funny! All kids are just the same! I am amazed at the random crap we find in the house that will entertain C for hours.
