I’ve always liked Valentine’s Day as an adult, but having a child has made me LOVE it again. Lord help me when Arden is old enough to take Valentine’s to school. Someone sign me up to be the room mom for that party!!! 🙂
We celebrated the day of love for 2 days at our house. Is it because I love it that much? Not quite…actually because I couldn’t think of anything to make for dinner on Wednesday, so I made what I had planned for Valentine’s Day instead. Nice, huh?
Here’s a little look at our two days of looooove….
My funny Valentine. Just looking at these pictures makes me want to wake her up and squeeze her right now. Guess I’ll have to settle for monitor stalking instead. |
Valentines for our families and her out-of-town boyfriends! |
And the cutest confirmation that they made it to Wichita 🙂 I can’t even handle it. |
Gifts! Arden got a new book, a ball (which I may or may not have gotten in the pet aisle at Target) and the cutest little tree monogram that she can hang jewelry on when she’s older. Hazel got a bone…which she’s gnawing on as we speak. And not pictured–Chris got me a steam mop…and I’m not even mad about it! |
Arden and I had a great time making Chris’ gift with some of our friends…and I just think it’s so special. Thank you, Pinterest 🙂 And the real way to this guy’s heart–Reeses anything. |
Easiest recipe ever…and they never disappoint! |
Gifts for Arden’s baby friends! I wanted to buy ever Vday fabric at JoAnn’s, but finally settled on these 4. |
We enjoyed a little Black Walnut lunch with those baby friends 🙂 I imagine they’re thinking, “um, is this a date?”
|
And finally, this picture came all the way from Hannibal to make my day. My nephew Luke, the heartbreaker 🙂 |
Well, gotta run…Chris and I have big plans for the rest of the holiday…
Finish Season 1 of Homeland. We are OBSESSED!!!!
Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!
XOXO
