Sadly, this is something I’ve had to tell myself more than once in recent weeks.
Remember how I said I was going to do silly craft projects to kill time until my due date? Yeah, I wasn’t kidding about that.
For the last month or so we’ve been eating dinner at the island in the kitchen or on the couch. Why, you ask? Oh only because our dinner table has been transformed into a sweat shop…
The hot glue gun has become my best friend and the sewing machine my nemesis. Also, I have a new found love for felt.
I tried to test out a new tutorial every couple days, and before I knew it I had this…
Let’s just say headband-making is addicting!!!
Here are the links to my favorites tutorials. Maybe someday I’ll be crafty enough to do my own step-by-step tutorial…probably not though 🙂
So easy you could probably make ten during one episode of Bachelor Pad.
These might be my favorite. They do require a little bit of sewing but it’s worth it!
3. Felt Bow
Easy Peasy…and FUN because you can get creative with different felt and fabric combos. What can I say, I live on the edge!
4. Felt Rosette
It seems like you use a lot of felt for such a small flower–but it’s just so darn cute.
5. Felt Flower
I used this picture and substituted hot glue for thread (duh)
Also, you can find a pretty good template here.
I could make these all day long.
I was happy with the felt version, but I loooove the way it looks with lace. I may get a little wild and use colored elastic for the headband…watch out!
And last but not least…
I really liked the look of the flower alone but my mom suggested adding the tulle netting, which was the perfect touch.
Clearly Hazel agrees 🙂
Well, now you know what I’ve been up to lately. Maybe this means our child will have nothing but good days? 🙂
If you’ve got any other good tutorials, send them my way! I’ve still got a couple of weeks of crafting left in me!

Haha- this made me lol. You better hope that little girl isn't as wild as her mama. 😉

Oh my goodness! You have been busy! I love all of them! Good job! I've only ever tried felt and rolled fabric flowers, they have not turned out near as cute as yours! I might email you a few tutorials I have, not sure if they are any different than what you have already done.

Can I have your email address 🙂

You seriously need to open up an Etsy shop! I'll be your first customer for my sister who's having a girl;)
