Chris and I spent this past weekend trying to make the most of our time together. We went to a drive-in movie on Friday, shopped and ate out at a nice restaurant on Saturday, and went to church and lounged on Sunday….just the two of us.
It seems like we are so ready for this baby to arrive that sometimes we forget about the chapter that we’re closing. So early this morning when I couldn’t sleep (I’m telling you–I’m anxious!), I went through some old pictures and was reminded of how much fun we’ve had together the last six years.
The homecoming week that we met…
(Although Chris claims we met at Lambda Chi freshman year…I know would’ve remembered that)
The day we got engaged.
Our wedding day.
The day we brought Hazel home.
I know it’s only going to get better once we become a family of three, but looking back on these pictures makes me smile. It sure has been fun so far.

I also came across quite a few pictures of Uncle Chris in his element. If this guy is half as cool of a father as he is an uncle, our daughter is in for a real treat. Just ask these kids…
Okay so hopefully the next post will include baby news 🙂

it's so great to remember this and you'll always love that you waited a bit to have kids before. the best advice i can give you is to never stop dating your husband. then it will be just the two of you, except you will be talking about for new favorite subject, your sweet babe all. night. long. i am so excited for you to embark on the most amazing journey of your life. 🙂

Just had tears in my eyes reading this to Adam. Thinking about the day Chris proposed on fake pat's- how much of a ball bags I was and how happy I was for you two. Thinking back to your wedding day and how lucky Adam and I were to both be part of your big day. Now thinking about how soon you will both be parents….is making me cry.
Love to the almost Family of THREE!
