It’s no secret that I have a passion for old things. I would honestly decorate my whole house in vintage floral fabric if it was socially acceptable. Turns out it’s not…but it is the perfect look for a baby girl’s room 🙂 So other than the main furniture, curtains and bedding, the majority of the things in the room came from antique stores and flea markets. Some pieces needed painting and a little TLC, while others were perfect just the way they were.I’m so proud of this space and I know Chris is too (he should be after all the hard work he put in to the walls!) We wanted it to be cozy, comfortable, sweet and vintage–and I think we’ve accomplished just that.
I hope she loves it as much as we do…
I always find myself wandering in here for no reason other than to sit in the glider and daydream. The “Newborn Nursery” scent coming from my Scentsy warmer really gives it the full effect too. Thanks Mom 🙂
We ended up getting the same glider that my sister-in-law has because I remember sitting in it when Luke was born…I’m not kidding you, it’s like floating on a cloud! I think that will make the long nights that we have ahead seem a little bit shorter…or at least more comfortable.
After a couple months of searching, I finally found the perfect bookshelf at an antique mall nearby. The only problem was that the shelves were a little saggy, so Chris cut some thick plywood and I covered it with pretty scrapbook paper and mod podge. I like the fact that we’ll be able to change that in case we ever want to use it elsewhere.

Then of course, there’s the crib…

You didn’t think I could decorate this room without something French Bulldog-related, did you? My friend spotted it at HomeGoods in St. Louis and snatched it right up. Now Hazel will be properly represented!

Recognize this piece, Missy?! 🙂
So maybe I’m a little milk-glass obsessed…

The doily bunting is one of my favorite parts of the nursery. It was a fairly easy project and I love the sweet and delicate look it gives the room…
This print just makes me happy.

My mom was a huge help in finding all of the details for the room. Sometimes we were together and sometimes she was sending me pictures from her phone, which were usually followed by a text from me: “GET IT–I’ll pay you back!!!”
Do you want to know what else my mom is responsible for?
Most of THIS…

However, I have to admit that it does make me pretty excited 🙂
This girl on the other hand? Excited might not be the right word.
Well, now you’ve seen it all!
The only thing that could make me love this room more would be if it had a little person in it. Soon enough! 🙂

I just stumbled across your blog after seeing the nursery on projectnursery.com. WOW! IN LOVE! We have the saaame style! I am having a boy, due in October, so I've not gotten nearly as far on mine, but I have to say yours is such a real treat! I LOVE what you did with that little bookshelf find, love all your antique/vintage touches! I, too, am trying to decorate mostly from craigslist/flea markets, etc. and sometimes it's hard to be patient and find just the right thing. Beautiful job on this!
gorgeous! love every detail, especially the doily bunting!
Your nursery is gorgeous!
Got a little ahead of myself by pressing enter. You will get so much use out of your glider. We splurged on an upholstered rocker like yours and it was worth every penny. Avery is nine months old and we still rock in it every night for books and her bottle before bed!
Absolutely gorgeous! You did a fantastic job! 🙂
LOVE the nursery!!! Perfect mix of vintage and modern, that is exactly the look I went for in O's room too!!! Love every detail!
