Holy moly…20 weeks down, 20 more to go! The first half has gone by rather slowly for me, but I’m just impatient like that. I have a feeling the second half will be a completely different story though. We know what we’re doing pretty much every weekend until mid-July…and then let’s face it, I probably won’t be leaving the pool for the last month. Hope I don’t see anyone I know at that point 🙂
And finally, I have a picture worth sharing. I’m not going to lie, it’s still SO weird to see myself like this!
How far along: 20 weeks
Size of Baby C: 6.5 inches
Fruit/vegetable comparison (according to Baby Center): Banana
Total weight gain: 5 lbs
Sleep: Great! I could definitely
sleep through the night if it weren’t for my 3am bathroom break.

Movement: It’s pretty consistent
now! I feel it when I wake up in the morning and usually later in the
evening. It seems to be most noticeable when I’m laying down.

Unglamorous body changes: I had a couple of 8th
grade flashback days this week–holy breakout!

Maternity Clothes? My first order from oldnavy.com just arrived–and I got some pretty sweet deals. Of
course, I had send half of it back to exchange for different sizes, but the
solid tank tops I got are awesome. Even though I don’t really need them
yet, the rouging on the side makes me feel legitimately pregnant and less like
I’m just faking it. 🙂

Showing: Yesterday I woke up
and instantly knew something felt different. So that whole thing about it happening over night, yeah that’s true. It’s still not noticeable in most of my clothes though…which makes me wonder why I ever cared so much about a flat stomach in the first place?!?

Food cravings: Still any kind of
fruit…and McDonald’s ice cream cones. There is a new Mickey D’s
dangerously close to our house too…

What I miss: Probably being able to
do anything without question. Going to a concert at Mo’s–probably too smokey…renting
a boat for a day at the lake–only if we go slow! You get the point 🙂

Anything making you queasy: Not
anymore! Sayonara nausea!
anymore! Sayonara nausea!
Strange experiences: Probably doing the
Chinese Gender Chart test. Chris thought it was silly until we tested it
on every member of our family–and it was only wrong once. Bad news
Taylor, we think you were supposed to be a girl 🙂 Anyway, ours said
girl…but we shall see!

Milestones: The baby is getting
ready to double it’s size over the next couple weeks. I can’t believe
that he/she was only the size of a poppy seed when we first started getting these weekly updates.

Best moment this week: Finishing
up all of our last house projects so we can start working on the baby
room after our sonogram. I’m pumped.

Looking forward to: There is so much to look
forward to right now…
forward to right now…
- Our sonogram, which we pray will show a happy and healthy
little babe. (I don’t know how we’ll know if it’s happy…maybe a thumbs up?) - A trip home where we’ll get to hang out with good friends
and meet Jackson M 🙂 - Celebrating Chris’ birthday with our families and finding
out if we’ll be shopping for pink or blue!
So there you have it…8 days until we know for sure. Any guesses??

Ali Moore says
Love your little bump and glad you are feeling better!
I have been thinking girl all along with you…we'll know soon!
Love you!
Emily says
I have a feeling its a girl… and as I told Brittany- I have a really good track record. 🙂
Brittany says
I'm with Emily on this one too!!! I did tell Jimmy if it was a girl that they could get married and he said he thought that would be illegal. But they are not related…but might be kind of weird for Mike and Lindsay to say "we are going to a wedding where our niece and nephew are getting married….". So maybe we'll just stick to BFFs for now 🙂 Love you and love the bump!! Cannot WAIT!
Lauren says
I am thinking girl, too. Can't wait!! 🙂
