What happens when you have to wait weeks and weeks to tell anyone about the biggest thing that’s ever happened to you? You write blog posts about it and save them in drafts 🙂 Here’s one of the first ones…
Telling our families the good news was such a neat experience. However, my brother-in-law Taylor had to find out a couple weeks later than everyone else because he was busy filming The Hangover 3 in Thailand. You think I’m joking?
Okay, there was no filming involved…he was just traveling all around Asia with some friends over winter break. No big deal 🙂
Chris and I wanted to surprise him in a fun way…and as soon as I saw this gift, I knew it was perfect.
He was pretty confused initially–but finally put it all together. Here are some of my favorite quotes from the conversation…
- “What? You’re gonna get a kid?” (As if you just pick them up at the grocery store or something!)
- “I’m excited…it’s hard to be the cool uncle when you don’t have any nieces or nephews.”
- “Just so you know, I’m not going to have any caffeine-free pop at my house.”
It was really cute to see how excited he was to be an uncle. And the best news is that he will actually get to hold the baby when it gets here, now that we know he doesn’t have rabies!
Get ready cool Uncle Taylor…only 6 more months!
PS: He really is single. Email me if you want to be my sister-in-law. I’m kidding!!!! Kind of…he’s quite a catch 🙂

OMG I love this. I have a sister that is single……hmmm….maybe that would make our worlds way too interconnected 🙂 And I don't think either of them would go for that, but it's fun to dream!
