The weather was beautiful on Wednesday…absolutely perfect for the zoo! I think I’ll let the pictures do the talking here 🙂
Maren and Gigi checking out the longhorns…
Whatchoo lookin at?
What a good uncle, right?
Uh, not so much!
Queen Norah…
Strike a pose!
Rafiki?
We were all pretty spent after a few hours at the zoo, so we headed back home to rest and meet the Calcara’s, who had just gotten into town. I sent Chris off with a coupon to get pizza…of course, it would’ve helped if I’d sent him to the correct place. What, you don’t have an order for Calcara? Oh that’s because it’s at the other Russo’s across town. Whoops! Sorry Chris!
After dinner, we got started on the turkey and a few other dishes. Thank goodness for my mom…I had planned to start almost everything on Thanksgiving morning, but getting a few dishes out of the way was a huge help. Oh the things I have learned about hosting Thanksgiving 🙂
In the roasting bag and goin in…
We had plenty of entertainment while we waited…
And plenty of this…
Confession: I’ve owned a meat thermometer for 2 years and never used it. Thanks for breaking it in, Mike!
Chris got to use the skills he learned at the hog roast…
It was a family effort…
And finally, the wishbone…
Next up, Thanksgiving day 🙂

Hey Amy! It's a Canon Rebel T2i–I got it for Christmas last year and still haven't learned how to use it correctly yet…but the pictures look good enough for me! Maybe you can add it to your xmas wishlist 🙂
