So what’s been going on lately? A lot…and I have to say, that’s the way I like it. Working from home is an amazing luxury, but it is so nice to go on trips and get off my yoga ball sometimes. Yes, I started working on a yoga ball…I think it’s really helping my posture and it’s fun 🙂
2 weeks ago Hazel and I made the road trip to Dallas to visit Mrs. Wassinger and all of the wonderful D-town ladies. Liz made the trip from Austin too! I love living in Houston and I love Chris, but man, a girls weekend away was just so great! Chris didn’t mind too much either since he was in New Mexico golfing with his friends 🙂
I have missed Erica so much and it was great to just relax with all of the girls. We ate a lot, lounged a lot, talked a lot…it was wonderful!
I wish I would’ve taken more pictures…but I guess I was too busy making sure my dog didn’t murder any other dogs. Yeah, we saw a whole new side of Hazel. She was just fine on Friday night when she met Ashley and Josh’s sweet dog Osa, but she pretty much sabotaged the blind date I had set up for her on Saturday. Meet Mr. B:
This incredibly adorable little man belongs to Erica’s friend Liz, and I have been looking forward to meeting him since the first time I saw a picture of him as a tiny puppy. Liz and I assumed that it would be love match because hey, they’re both really cute, cream Frenchies. Why wouldn’t they love each other?? We met Liz and Mr. B outside of the apartment building and the dogs were so cute…playing, sniffing and running around. But as soon as we stepped into Ashley and Taryn’s apartment, Hazel turned into a psychopath. I guess she decided that after spending one night there, it was her territory. She’s a pretty rough player as it is, but this was not playing…she was scary and mean. A Hazel I’d never seen before. I felt absolutely awful. Mr. B just sat there being so sweet and Hazel was a complete psycho. Not exactly the best way to win a guy’s heart, Hazel! Luckily, the crazy woman had some time to cool down while we were at dinner and the 2 played around for a little bit when we got home.
Just a couple of girls and their Frenchies…
I’m still not sure if it was a territory thing or maybe the fact that she’s around mostly girl dogs, but I do know it calls for some action. I added Cesar Millan’s book to my library queue. Hazel might technically be a “b*t&h,” but I’m not going to let her act like one! Hopefully Mr. B will give her another chance once she’s had some anger management classes! 🙂
Well I got a little off track there, huh? Anyway, great, great weekend in Dallas. The thing I love most about Dallas is the group of friends there. Thanks to Erica and Heather, I’ve made some pretty awesome new friends. I can’t wait for the Houston girls weekend in December!
A Pay Pay says
Haha, poor Hazel. I still love her and she's welcome in my apt ANYTIME! Yay for December, it's already in my calendar- woot woot!
