Sooooo where did I leave off? Oh that’s right, Luke. What a cutie. Well there’s more where that came from…
But first, a shout out to my lady friends 🙂 During my trip home I got to hang out with both college and high school friends. I think living far away from all of these girls makes me realize even more how special our relationships are. Some I talk to weekly and some I only see a couple times a year–but we always pick up right where we left off and I love that. I’m so so thankful for those friendships.
Whoa, mushy much? Apparently that’s what living states away from your girlfriends will do to you!
Well when I wasn’t catching up with friends I was playing the part of Aunt Vanessa. Or “Anvanessa” as it sounds when Maren and Norah say it really fast over and over. I took them to the pool one afternoon and I was worried there might be some awkward glances from neighbors who thought that I was my sister (only taller and not nearly as skinny)…but since every sentence that came out of the girls’ mouth started with Anvanessa, I didn’t have to worry about it 🙂
Anvanessa! Watch me float on my back!
Anvanessa! Where’s Hazel?
Anvanessa! I’ve seen you wear that swimsuit before.
Well excuse me, fashion police! 🙂
Okay, so on to the pictures. Here are a couple after a family dinner at my parents’ house. Mr. Handsome, Will…
Will and I had a photoshoot one day when everyone was at the pool.
You little devil, Will…
🙂
Thanks to my mom and dad for letting me pretend like I was in high school again. Homemade smoothies for breakfast, mornings lounging around with my mom, and dinners out on dad…not too bad really. Truth is, if I could move in next door to my parents I would. Chris, you in?? 😉 And thanks to Lindsay and Mike for letting me invade their house, break their nintendo, and feed their children way too many snacks. That’s what aunts are for, right?
See you guys in a month!
