Way Down Here... - Sunflower State of Mind

James Taylor’s “Mexico” was just one of the many awesome, Kelly-tastic tunes playing at Courtney and Brian’s wedding. If I knew how to add a playlist to my blog I would put this on it…but I’m not that blog-savvy, so you’ll have to hum 🙂

Well here’s Mexico…

I want to go back NOW! Last week we spent 4 days in Riviera Maya celebrating Courtney and Brian’s wedding! It was a perfect trip and a perfect wedding.

One of my favorite parts of the trip was all of the girl time. I rarely get to spend days at a time with my college friends anymore, so I just tried to soak up every minute of it. The morning after the wedding, the happy couple hosted a breakfast, which turned into an hour of laughing and telling stories around a big round table…Saturday morning Derb flashback, anyone?!

Speaking of eating…we did a lot of it. That’s what all-inclusive resorts are for, right?

After the welcome dinner, we all made our way to the resort’s “discoteca”. If you can’t tell by Amy and Carly’s faces–it was a lot of fun 🙂

Apparently in Mexico, my “let me take the picture so I don’t have to take the shot” rule goes out the window.

The next day, aka wedding day, I decided it was time to bring out the real camera.

Goin’ to the chapel…

Here comes the bride!

I love how excited Brian looks here. I also love Court’s hair…so pretty!

Well folks, they did it!

After a cocktail hour, a few games of 12-man, and leaving Robert shirtless in the lobby…we made it to the gorgeous reception. It was kind of secluded, on the far end of the resort, and the weather was absolutely perfect.

The toasts made us laugh and cry…

And the Seacats shared their first dance. I’m pretty much obsessed with Courtney’s dress…

Look who caught the bouquet! Ash, I only have one request…another destination wedding? California would count 🙂

And of course, there was Rum-de-ada…with 3 generations of Pi Phis. I got a little caught up in the moment and tried to talk everyone into a cookie shine the next morning. Don’t worry, it didn’t happen 🙂
