One week, 500 pictures, and many, many diapers later…I’m home and I’m happy. I never know how to encompass a trip home into one blog post, but that’s one of the reasons I asked for this stellar camera, right?
Meet Will.
And yes, he’s as sweet as he looks. To say I learned a lot about babies this past week would be an enormous understatement. My sister had to stay off her feet, so it really was like I was playing mom for a couple of afternoons. Bottles, dirty diapers, walking, rocking…you name it. I truly wish there was a video of the first diaper change. I found out (the hard way) that baby boy diapers and baby girl diapers are VERY different. Let’s just say Will is a “sprayer”. There was lots of screaming, panicking and running around…I guess you could say it was our first bonding experience 🙂
Speaking of bonding, it turns out that newborns sleep a lot…so Lindsay and I had plenty of time to catch up–on DVRed shows, Twilight movies, and life. It’s not very often that it’s just the two of us, so it was really nice to just hang out with my sister.
While Will was definitely the star of the show, there were a few other kids I went home to see.
This one…
This one…
And of course, this one…
I tried to soak up every minute I had with these kids…Taco Tuesday, a slumber party, bath time, hanging out in the playroom, Freddy T’s, etc.
What a perfect trip! I’m already trying to figure out when I can go back, although I’ve been told to “bring Hazel”. It was actually more of a threat 🙂 Maybe I’ll even bring Chris!
I’ll leave you with this picture. This is what happens when your entire family is snowed in and stir crazy! Thank goodness for Skype!
