One of the highlights of our "Fat Hog" weekend was getting to throw a baby shower for my sister-in-law, Kelly. She and my brother-in-law are expecting their first (a girl!) in August, and we're all pretty darn excited about it! Let me just start by saying this was the easiest baby shower I've ever helped host--and that's because of my mother-in-law. She asked me to tell her what we needed, then just show up and decorate. So basically, she let me have all the fun! When it came to planning, the ...

Life Lately
It's Friday! Arden is napping, my to-do list is nearly complete and I just cracked open a Diet Dr. Pepper--with cherry. I guess you could say that life is pretty good :) Last weekend Chris' parents came down to visit from Kansas. We didn't have a lot planned and they were happy to just go along with our everyday life. Speed shopping, 5:00 dinners out, etc…you know, typical life with a baby. We had a great time celebrating their anniversary on Friday... And ...

We will definitely go back…but maybe next time we'll bring sunscreen. Ouch!By the way, is it football season ...

Random people in the grocery store, stuffed animals, pictures of people--you're not picky, you just love to wave. ...
Arden: Four Months!
Length: 26" Weight: 14lbs 7oz Head Circumference: 16.25" Milestones This Month: Grabbing and pulling. If I’m lucky, it’s a toy you’re grabbing and not my hair! One morning I was making breakfast and I heard some rattling under the activity gym. You had grabbed one of your pull toys and made it shake…and you haven’t stopped since. Bumbo time. I think we can officially say that you’re a bumbo baby. However, when you’re ready to get out you don’t wait for ...
